Set within the school site of Arnold Lodge School in Leamington Spa, Little Lodge children benefit from the highest quality of care and education from our dedicated nursery team who are here to support their development in a home from home setting.
At Little Lodge Nursery in Leamington Spa, we understand that children’s needs change dramatically as they grow. That’s why we’ve created four distinct rooms, each thoughtfully designed to match the developmental stage and interests of the children in that age group.
Set within the grounds of Arnold Lodge School, our nursery rooms provide a safe, stimulating, home-from-home environment where every child can thrive. As children move through our rooms, they benefit from smooth transitions and continuity of care from our dedicated team who know them well.
How Our Room Structure Works
Children typically spend 12–18 months in each room before moving to the next stage. These transitions are carefully managed with settling-in sessions and close communication between room teams, ensuring your child feels confident and excited about their next adventure.
Our Four Rooms
Little Explorers – Baby Room (6–18 months)
Our youngest children discover the world around them in a calm, nurturing environment designed around individual routines. Little Explorers enjoy floor-based play, treasure basket exploration, sensory activities, and outdoor experiences while we follow their home sleep and feeding schedules. This is where first steps are celebrated and first words emerge.
Little Adventurers – Toddler Room (18 months–2½ years)
The “me do it!” stage is celebrated in our active, energetic toddler room. Little Adventurers experience messy play, imaginative scenarios, music and movement, and plenty of opportunities for running, climbing, and exploring. We support their language explosion and growing independence while keeping them safe to take risks and try new things.
Little Learners – Tweenie Room (2½–3½ years)
Natural curiosity becomes focused learning in this purposeful, engaged environment. Little Learners experience small group activities, problem-solving challenges, creative arts, construction, and rich imaginative play. Circle time introduces the structure of school-style learning while children develop concentration, social skills, and confidence.
Little Lodgers – Preschool Room (3½ years–Reception)
Our preschool room prepares confident, capable children for their transition to Reception. Little Lodgers enjoy structured phonics sessions, focused mathematics activities, and opportunities for leadership and responsibility. They eat lunch in the Arnold Lodge School dining room, giving them a real taste of school life and helping them arrive at Reception feeling ready and excited.
Outdoor Learning
All our rooms have daily access to our secure outdoor areas, where children explore nature, develop physical skills, and learn through active play in all weathers. We believe outdoor learning is essential for children’s development, wellbeing, and connection to the natural world.
The Arnold Lodge Advantage
Being situated within Arnold Lodge School means our children benefit from specialist facilities including the school dining room for our preschoolers, extensive grounds for outdoor exploration, and a genuine pathway from nursery through to age 18 for families who choose to continue their child’s education at Arnold Lodge.
